The June 27th prompt was Cucumbers. I felt like painting Dandy the lion keeping one eye on his youngster instead. Keeping one eye on such a cutie is essential. Especially when ones youngster appears to be as inquisitive as this one does. Not to mention the dangers lurking where these two live.
I used to tell our kids that I had eyes in the back of my head too. How about you?
I need to name Dandy’s little one. Any ideas?
Original art by Susan Feniak. Holbein and QOR water colour on Arches hot press paper. 9″×12″
Okay I have done it again. The prompt for June 9th was “hamburger” but since it was such a soggy stormy day on the boat I had lots of time to create. These two striped critters are the result. Original art by Susan Feniak. Koi Watercolors on Opus Finest paper. Think I will eat a hamburger for supper instead. LOL
“The Mossy Retreat” original art by Susan Feniak. Acrylic on 11″ x 14″ canvas panel. Last summer while taking a walk on one of my favourite trails I came across this little fellow. He scampered down the tree and scurried into and then out of this moss covered ruin of a tree. All the while he scolded me. I had intruded into his territory. I thought his home looked rather interesting so I have endeavored to duplicate it here. Of course he was rather cute too. Cheers! PEACE
#WorldWatercolorMonth July 16 “Sweet Nothings” Because several of you said more paintings of animals please. Meet Princess and Duke. I will leave it up to you to imagine who is who. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this one. Just a couple of months ago I would have avoided both painting animals and water colors. Who knew? Thank you Charlie O’Shields for all your encouragement.
These two, whispering sweet nothings should have me all caught up with my #WorldWatercolorMonth paintings again. Original art by Susan Feniak. Koi Water color on 12″ x 9″ paper.
