“Sleep With One Eye Open” #WorldWatercolorGroup

The June 27th prompt was Cucumbers.  I felt like painting Dandy the lion keeping one eye on his youngster instead. Keeping one eye on such a cutie is essential. Especially when ones youngster appears to be as inquisitive as this one does. Not to mention the dangers lurking where these two live.

I used to tell our kids that I had eyes in the back of my head too. How about you?

I need to name Dandy’s little one. Any ideas?

“Squirt Gun” #WorldWatercolorGroup

June 24th “Squirt Gun”  This is another quick sketch but sometimes that is all a girl has time for.  When it came to water fights my weapon of choice was always Grandma’s discarded liquid dish soap container.  You see winning a water fight is more important then how the weapon looks.  That dish soap container out lasted and out squirted any other dime store version I ever bought or owned.   Of course it helped that I knew just how to maneuver that bottle to get just the right projection.  I also learned to save my skinny dime allowance to spend on candy or freezies instead.   If it was a serious water fight than nothing out did the hose and nozzle which there was always a mad race to reach before anyone else.  The prompts this month have me traveling down memory lane more often then not.  I have missed some but am trying to catch up.  Hope you are enjoying a super weekend.

“Bees” #worldwatercolorgroup

“Bees” original art by Susan Feniak.  The prompt today March 12th was Bees.  I went with the far cuter non stinging variety, Bumblebees.  Fuzzy and often seemingly drunken in appearance.  They are usually over loaded by the pollen they have so busily been collecting.  A sure sign of spring! Buzz…..  Hopefully there is progress being made in the salvation of the world’s honey bee population.

“Lemonade” #worldwatercolorgroup

Lemonade is the prompt for March 11th.  A tall cool glass is sitting here for you. FYI ice cubes are interesting to paint. I may have to practice those and condensation on glass too. All in fun. Cheers!
