Aruba Parrot #WorldWatercolorMonth

July 8th I took a photo of this beauty while at the California Lighthouse in Aruba. So I named this painting Aruba Parrot. Original art by Susan Feniak. QOR water color on Canson Aquarelle paper.

“Sleep With One Eye Open” #WorldWatercolorGroup

The June 27th prompt was Cucumbers.  I felt like painting Dandy the lion keeping one eye on his youngster instead. Keeping one eye on such a cutie is essential. Especially when ones youngster appears to be as inquisitive as this one does. Not to mention the dangers lurking where these two live.

I used to tell our kids that I had eyes in the back of my head too. How about you?

I need to name Dandy’s little one. Any ideas?

Original art by Susan Feniak.  Holbein and QOR water colour on Arches hot press paper. 9″×12″

“Dragonfly” #WorldWatercolorGroup

June 26th and the prompt Dragonfly was fun. Here I give you two. One very stylish the other perhaps a little hungry.  Dragonflies kept my pond clear of unwanted insects so I  doubt they would resort to leaf eating. I bet it’s resting instead. Original art by Susan Feniak. QOR water color on Strathmore Paper.  Both are 6″×6″

“Sailboat” #WorldWatercolorGroup

June 19th “Sailboat” As a lad my Father sailed wooden models on a local pond. Sally’s Pond, Eastern Canada.  I think that would have been a wonderful way to wile away a sunny summer afternoon.  My Father kept his boat and if I remember it correctly it had green trim similar to the one I painted here. Original art by Susan Feniak. QOR water color on Fabriano hot press paper.

“Ice Cream ”  #WorldWatercolorGroup

June 14th. Ice Cream! Yum! My go to? Double chocolate in a waffle cone. Eat it quickly on the hot summer days or you will get drips.😆🌞 Original art by Susan Feniak. QOR water color on Strathmore Paper.

“Lightning Bug” #WorldWatercolorGroup

June 10ths Lightning Bug had me in a quandary as I have never seen one. I had to look them up. A rather fascinating bug also known as a Fire Fly. Original art by Susan Feniak. QOR water color on Strathmore Paper. 6″×6″
