#WorldWatercolorGroup Favorite FlowerPosted: August 3, 2016
#WorldWatercolorGroup Favorite Flower is the prompt for today. Being a retired florist and avid gardener I love all flowers but if I had to pick one it would have to be tulips. Perhaps because to me they signify the end of winter and the coming of spring. After a long winter warmer sunny days are always welcomed by me. Cutting bundles of tulips from the garden and having vases of them about the house, bliss!!
For this #WorldWatercolorGroup sketch I did not pre-draw anything preferring to keep everything where the paint brush took me. One thing led to another so splattering and smiles ensued. My pink tulip is in the middle of a spring rain. That’s my story and I am sticking to it. Original art by Susan Feniak. Holdbein Artists’ water color on Strathmore 140lb cold press paper.
I will be on hiatus for most of the month. But I will try to catch up whenever possible. Have fun!! Cheers. PEACE
